Since its inception, the philosophy of Spanish Spirit has been to import quality wine from small independent, usually family owned Spanish wine producers. As the business developed from our original list of vineyards from Toro, Rueda & Ribera del Duero we also have the privilege adding Rioja & Rías Baixas as well as a range of liqueurs such as the ubiquitous Ponche Caballero.

The Toro region is ably represented by the Ramon Ramos, Marques de Irún and Liberalia vineyards producing character Joven, Crianza and Reserva wines from the local Tinta de Toro variety as well as sweet whites using the Moscatel grape.

Torres de Anguix and Tamaral are both renowned throughout Spain as Ribera del Duero stalwarts despite being relatively new bodegas. 

Rueda, Spain’s premier white wine growing region produces stunning wines using the indigenous Verdejo variety. This is made good use of by Bodega Javier Sanz which has been cultivating grapes for its Villa Narcisa range for several generations.

Staying with the white wine theme, Albariño wines from Rías Baixas are regarded by many to be the Spain’s most interesting whites and in Veiga Serantes we have found a producer who is making a delightful wine of great depth & character.

Last, but by no means least, Rioja is the best known in wine growing region in the UK. Viña Hermina has developed an enviable reputation for the quality wines produced.

As we expand we will be adding wines from other regions and wine makers who are producing wines that we find interesting and distinctive
